At times the trails (especially Poon Hill for sunrise) were overcrowded (and noisy). Our guide was experienced and accommodating to our desires and trekking pace. The 1st nights accomodation (tea house) was very basic, as expected. But the 2nd night accommodation (Hungry Eye "hotel") in Ghandruk was a huge disappointment. Ghandruk has many very nice hotels available, yet the Hungry Eye was a total dump. Everything was broken and non-functional. Rooms and bedding were filthy. “Had a great time on my hike/trek! My guide, Prakash couldn’t have been nicer or more understanding. My fitness level, put plainly, isn’t great. He worked with my pace and I so appreciated it. He was amazing! Weather can be “iffy” for the final reveal at Poon Hill, but I was able to see much of the wonderful vista the next day. I don’t know if meals included option is worth it or not. I paid as I went and meals were definitely more expensive than in Pokhara. Kudos to owner Ramesh for having a great guide and a well-run business, including his lovely hotel nearby.”
