Tashi Ling and Tashi Palkhel are refugee settlements on the edge of Pokhara. People have lived in them since 1959 and many residents are still stateless. A visit consists of the monastery, the carpet workshop and the shops that sell what is woven there; these are ordinary neighbourhoods with schools, and they are not an attraction.
